India is 16th among the maritime countries with its 7500 km of coastline and over 14000km of waterway and not only this 70% of the trade by value moves through the maritime transport which make the Indian maritime industry the back bone of the Indian growth and economy.

Government of India is also investing a lot to tap the vast potential for growth in maritime sector by identifying & strengthening the maritime infrastructure and increasing the total cargo handling capacity of the ports in the country. Apart from capacity addition, port efficiencies are being improved through mechanization and modernization.
